Weekly (4-day) Summer Camp

Weekly art camps are starting July 8th and open for students ages 6 to 15. Scroll down to see the calendar.

Days: Mondays through Thursdays.
Time: 9 AM to 3 PM or 9 AM to 1 PM.
NOTE: if your child is not staying until 3 PM and chooses not bring lunch, please pick them up at 12:15 PM. 

Camp fees:
$381–(9–3 PM) (NEW STUDENTS, who do not attend regular classes)

Students will be creating various art project exploring different media: Drawing, Painting in Acrylic or Watercolor, Sculpture, Mixed Media, including creative crafting, doodling, cartooning and more. Students also will play some games in between the projects. Below is approximate schedule of daily camp activities.

9:00-9:15: Welcome and free art time.
9:15-10:00: First Project.
10:00-10:05: Clean up
10:05-11:00: Second project
11:00-11:10: Snack
11:10-11:55: Group art activity
11:55-12:45: Clean up & Lunch (early campers get ready to leave)
12:45–1:00 Group board games
1:00-2:00: Second Project
2:00-2:45 Group art game
2:45-3:00: Clean up (campers get ready to leave)

FRIDAY ONE-DAY WORKSHOPS (9am–12pm)

For the first time ever, this year we are offering one-day workshops on Fridays!

We are offering Friday workshops for the following dates: 7/12, 7/19 and 8/23. If you are interested in a different Friday (9am–12 pm), or Thursday (3pm–5pm) workshop please let us know and we will try to accomodate.

Below are a few examples of planned projects for students, during various workshops.

Gyotaku: experience the traditional Japanese printmaking technique of Gyotaku
Shadow Puppets: learn about the traditional art of shadow puppetry and create their own static and kinetic puppets.
Cartooning – Character Development: learn and practice techniques and materials of the cartoonist. Students will work toward developing a character and a range of expressions. They will also create a gag panel (a single panel comic).
Manga: become familiar with the stylistic conventions and compositional considerations used in manga. Students will work toward developing their own character and storyboard.
Recycled Robots: using recycled and found materials artists will create a robot sculpture. After brainstorming design, purpose, and functions artists will practice sculptural techniques in realizing their vision.

If you like us to hold a spot for you, please make a $100 non-refundable deposit. Full payment is due two weeks prior the first camp date. If you are signing up within one week before the camp start date, add additional $30 to the overall cost.

Bring your own lunch and/or snack. No nuts please.

DO NOT ENROLL OR PAY WITHOUT CONFIRMATION. Method of payment: check, cash and credit card (in person)
      3. Make sure to Fill out and submit registration form (below) choosing the week you are registering for. Note: Student will not be registered without filling out registration form and indicating your class choice 9at the bottom of this page).
